About Me

Rebecca Alexander, LCSW-R, MPH, is a psychodynamic psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples, family, and group therapy.  She currently maintains her private practice in Manhattan.

I am a highly interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I firmly believe that there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy and therefore, I assesses each case on an individual basis to offer a highly personalized approach. With compassion, understanding, and insight, I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to help them recognize and build upon their strengths and challenge the ineffective beliefs and behaviors that inhibit them from living deeply meaningful lives and creating effective, sustainable change.

My practice is inclusive with respect to racial or ethnic identity, country of origin, physical ability, sexual and gender orientatin, and religious beliefs.
